The subject resisted, was physically escorted, and eventually taken to the ground and handcuffed. 33,35 02-09-00 2000-01323 High -Risk Traffic Stop Officers drew their sidearms during a high -risk traffic stop. There was information that the subject was armed and wanted on an arrest warrant for murder. 58 02-13-00 2000-01457 Disorderly Conduct 35,48 02-13-00 2000-01469 Consent Search 41 02-15-00 2000-01500 Injured Deer A subject pushed his way past two officers and punched another subject. An officer informed the subject he was under arrest and instructed him to put his hands behind his back. The subject refused. The officer grabbed his arm, put it behind his back, and placed him in handcuffs. During a consent search of a subject, officers noticed an object in the subject's hand. Officers thought the item might be a knife, grabbed hold of his hands, and instructed him to drop the item. He refused and attempted to turn toward an officer. The officer delivered two knee strikes to the subject's thigh, took the subject to the floor, and forcibly handcuffed him. Injured deer shot with officer's sidearm. 58,60 02-16-00 2000-01542 Intoxicated Subject Officers placed a subject under arrest for public intoxication. Officers had to physically put the subject on the ground and then place his arms behind his back to be handcuffed. 30 02-17-00 2000-01559 Disorderly Conduct During an investigation of a fight at a high school, an involved subject said that she was leaving the school. An officer instructed her to stay, took hold of her arm, and attempted to escort her F d4;,_Q2 DATE CASE # INCIDENT FORCE USED r to another part of the room. The subject jerked her arm upward and toward the officers' head. The officer placed the Cl subject in a "bear hug" until she was 10V,!i= I_ llI'y1J'r� handcuffed. 36 02-20-00 2000-01675 Intoxicated Subject An officer placed a subject under arrest of public intoxication. The subject refused to get in the patrol car. The officer attempted to push him in and the subject began kicking at the officer with his feet. The subject was warned to stop kicking and refused. The subject was sprayed with OC. The subject was transported to the hospital for decontamination, again began fighting with the officer, and was again sprayed with OC. 35 02-20-00 2000-01684 Drug Arrest During a search of a subject being arrested for possession of marijuana, officers asked the subject if he had anything else on his person. The subject's response and actions made the officer think he was reaching for a weapon. The officer grabbed the subject's arm and drew his sidearm. The subject was handcuffed. 59,38,17,56 02-22-00 2000-01752 Trespass Arrest Officers informed a subject that he was under arrest for criminal trespass. The subject, who was holding onto a dog, refused to comply with instructions and said that he was not going to jail. The subject was sprayed with OC. A lengthy struggle with the subject ensued, during which officer's were able to gain control of the dog. The subject was taken to the ground, where he kicked one officer in the head. Officers used knee strikes, joint manipulation, pressure points, hands- on techniques, and OC to get the subject handcuffed. Once at the hospital for decontamination, the subject kicked out a patrol car window. 37 02-24-00 2000-01842 Fight Officers arrested a subject after a fight. The subject refused to turn around and put his hands behind his back for handcuffing. The officer used hands-on and a wrist flex to achieve handcuffing. Hurd FORCE USED The officer observed a subject stealing a public trash receptacle and a foot chase ensued. When blocked by a fence, the subject turned and advanced toward the officer. The officer put the subject on the ground and handcuffed him. Officers located a subject wanted on an arrest warrant, and a several block long foot chase ensued. The subject was located hiding under a set of steps. The officer was unable to see the subject's hands and drew his firearm. After being given instructions to move slowly while getting out, the subject made a sudden movement. The officer jumped on his upper torso, held him down, and handcuffed him. Injured deer shot with officer's sidearm.
