60, 58, 19 2-2-02 02-949 Fight in progress Officers observed fight in progress.
Officer intervened and was struck in the
face. Officer used hands on techniques
to take subject to the ground and
handcuff Other officers used hands on
techniques to arrest other persons
involved in the fight who were
attempting to prevent officers from
arresting principals.
49 2-2-02 02-954 Prisoner transport Subject was being disruptive inside jail
van, post-arrest. After being cautioned
against such behavior, subject was
physically removed from van. Once
outside, subject went limp and had to
be carried to squad car to segregate him
from others in van.
59 2-3-02 02-985 Assault Subject who was suspect in assault fled
from investigating officer. Subject was
caught after foot pursuit, taken to
ground and handcuffed.
11, 19 2-3-02 02-987 Operating while Subject was being processed for OWl.
intoxicated Subject repeatedly attempted to stand
up during process. Officers had to use
hands on techniques to prevent him
from standing.
18 2-4-02 02-1015 Fight in progress Officers had to use hands on techniques
to get subject who had been arrested for
intoxication, after being involved in a
fight into squad car. Subject repeatedly
tried to exit car and had to be restrained
from doing so.
11 2-4-02 02-1016 Fight in progress While attempting to break up two
subjects who were actively fighting,
officer ordered both to cease activity.
When officer's commands were
ignored, officer deployed chem/cal
agent. Both subjects stopped fighting
immediately.
45, 86, 16 2-7-02 02-1127 Warrant service Subject of arrest warrant had attempted
to hide in attic. When subject was
discovered in attic, he ignored officer's
directives and chemical agent was

subject swung at officers attempting to
strike officer with fist. Officer deployed
chemical agent. Subject was
handcuffed.
33 2-10-02 02-1227 Suicidal subject Officers used hands on techniques to
take subject who had threatened self-
harm into custody for evaluation.
18 2-13-02 02-1298 Bar check Subject was interfering with officer
conducting alcohol compliance checks.
Officer directed subject to move away
several times and subject refused.
Officer used hands on techniques to
handcuff subject.
7, 84, 22 2-13-02 02-1313 Traffic stop Driver of vehicle fled from officer who
was attempting to stop him for traffic
violation. After officers located him he
walked toward officer with unknown
object in his hand. Officer drew
sidearm and ordered subject to display
hands and go to ground. Initial officer
drew sidearm and ordered remaining
occupant from vehicle.
21, 43, 88, 16 2-13-02 02-1332 Suspicious Officers were summoned to investigate
activity/Burglary a possible burglary to an apartment.
Officers made efforts to summon
occupants without success. Officers
entered premise with drawn sidearms.
Aparmaent was re-secured after no one
was located within.
11 2-14-02 02-1344 Traffic violation After officer attempted to stop driver
for traffic violation, driver fled and ran
from vehicle. Officer drew sidearm and
located subject hiding in storage shed.
38, 12 2-14-02 02-1369 Suicidal subject Subject had contacted family and
tttreatened suicide. Police were
summoned and contact resulted in
officers taking emergency custody of
subject for evaluation. During contact,
subject resisted officers. Chemical
agent and hands on techniques were
utilized. Subject was restrained and

taken to hospital for evaluation.
36, 38 2-16-02 02-1413 Fight in progress Officers attempted to separate subjects

24 2-17-02 02-1446 Assault After subject struck officer in face, he
fled. Pursuing officer used hands on
techniques after catching subject and
took him to the ground where he was
handcuffed.
20, 14, 2-17-02 02-1447 Warrant service Subject of felony warrant was located.
24,58,82 Officers directed him to comply with
arrest. Subject took fighting stance and
struck officer in head, neck, back, and
kicked him in ribs. Other officers
deployed chemical agent and used
hands on techniques to take subject to
ground and handcuff.
56, 43 2-17-02 02-1471 Traffic stop/warrant Occupants of vehicle were identified as
service being wanted on warrants. After short
pursuit, one subject fled from vehicle
and was apprehended after foot chase.
With sidearms drawn, officers ordered
the other subject from vehicle and
handcuffed her.
34 2-18-02 02-1488 Attempted suicide Officer wrestled knife from hands of
suicidal subject. Subject grabbed
second knife and officer disarmed her
of this as well. Officer then used hands
on techniques to handcuff subject.
98 2-22-02 02-1593 Alcohol violation Officer stopped subject for an alcohol
violation. Subject fled from officer who
pursued and used hands on techniques
to take subject to ground. Subject
continued to resist and officer deployed
chemical agent, then handcuffed
subject.
49, 19 2-23-02 02-1625 Alcohol violation Officers were escorting subject to
squad car after arresting him for
intoxication. Subject resisted walking
and txied to pull away from officers.

19,52 2-24-02 02-1645 Alcohol violation Officers were escorting intoxicated
subject to car for transport. Officers
applied hands on techniques to re-
handcuff subject and gain compliance
with escort.
52, 36 2-24-02 02-1655 Fight in progress Two subjects involved in a fight
refused officers commands to stop
fighting. One subject attempted to push
by officer to reengage fight. Officer
deployed chemical agent and
handcuffed that subject. Other officer
used hands on techniques and
handcuffed second subject.
51 2-27-02 02-1764 Welfare check Subject who was being treated in
hospital moved off gurney and
threatened officer and staff with opened
bottle ofchemicaI. Officer deployed
chem/cal agent and hands on
techniques to restrain him. '
27, 88, 13, 20 2-27-02 02-1767 Fight in progress Officers were dispatched to a fight in
progress call with a report of a possible
gunshot wound inflicted. Responding
officers drew sidearms as they
approached the location.
14, 82 2-28-02 02-1772 Fight in progress Subject was fleeing from officers after
his participation a fight. Subject
ignored officer's commands to stop
running. Officers apprehended subject
and took him to ground using hands on
techniques. Subject was arrested and
handcuffed.
