Other than the comments John Yapp mentioned previously, please ensure that emergency vehicle access will be allowed
at all times. Sidewalks must remain open for use by others not associated with this event. Alcoholic beverages (open
container) are prohibited on public property.

Hmm. There are other businesses further east on Escort Lane, including a competing Motorcycle Shop (Iowa
City Motorsports), to which this street closure would block access. My opinion is access to the other businesses
must remain open, unless they have agreed to Escort Lane being closed on a Saturday. Closing a commercial
street for a commercial event is different from closing a residential street for a parade or demonstration.
If approved, regulation barricades, and of course no alcohol in the public right-of-way.

Adam,
If approved, they need to have their general liability policy endorsed to list the City as an additional insured for this
event.
Thanks

If requested, emergency vehicle access shall not be denied. Otherwise, FD approves the plan. -RJensen
