In addition to the locations noted for PD assistance, additional assistance may be necessary at the Park, Newton, and River crossings (PD can clarify). The applicant should also contact the University to discuss their intentions. Kent Ralston, AICP Assistant Transportation Planner Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County 410 E. The ICPD approves the route, as proposed. Lt. Bill Campbell From: Hussey, Patrick T [mailto:patrick-hussey@uiowa.edu] Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2013 11:52 AM To: Bill Campbell Subject: Carver College of Medicine Doc Dash Lt. Campbell, I just left you a voicemail just now, but I'll try to write down the details of the message. My name is Patrick Hussey, I'm a medical student at the University of Iowa. Robert Ingram was in contact with you last year about the annual 5k Doc Dash that the medical school puts on and I was wondering if it would be possible to get 2 police officers to control traffic at 3 intersections. The route is the same as last year and I've attached an image with where we would like police officers to be. If possible, we would like: - 1 officer at the intersection of Newton Rd. and Woolf Ave. blocking eastbound traffic on Newton Rd. This should only be for 5 minutes tops, as the runners will still be bunched up at that point. - 1 officer at the intersection of Woolf Ave. and Bayard St., blocking southbound traffic on Woolf Ave. - The officer that was at Newton & Woolf then drives over to the intersection of Grove St. and N. Riverside Dr. to control that intersection. Please let me know if we can make this work again! You can just send the bill to me at the medical school and I will get it to our financial services to take care of the payment. My number is 319-936-7274 and my email is patrick- hussey@uiowa.edu. Thank you very much! --Patrick Hussey 1 Notice: This UI Health Care e-mail (including attachments) is covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, 18 U.S.C. 2510-2521, is confidential and may be legally privileged.
