Participants should also be reminded to follow the rules-of-the road as they progress through the route. When using the trail system, participants should be reminded to be courteous to other ‘non-participants’ using the trails as they will not be closed to the public. As a side note – this ride is scheduled for a start time of 5:30 which is near peak hour traffic. Even if the ride could start closer to 6:00 it would likely give peak hour traffic a little more time to ‘clear-up’ and provide a safer (and more enjoyable) ride. If they have not already done do, the applicant also need to contact Coralville to advise them of the plans. Thanks Kent Ralston, AICP Asst. Kris – we typically will review the proposed route, identify any issues due to construction or if we do not think it is a good route, and remind participants to observe rules of the road, traffic signals, and stay as far to the right as is practical when on-street due to other traffic. . . . .
