It will be mainly bike path, but street riding from the Thornberry Dog Park heading north on Foster Road through the Peninsula neighborhood, then left on Mackinaw Dr and heading under the I-80 bridge into the Waterworks Park. The riders will continue on bike path along Dubuque Street all the way to North Liberty. This fundraising event for the ADA raised over $200,000 last year to support the ADA mission. Last year the event was hosted at Performance Fitness in Coralville and will be at this location again in 2013. We have three bicycle routes planned for this year – 20, 50, and 100 miles. 2 The link to our 20 mile route is below and basically heads south on the North Ridge Trail to the Coral Ridge mall, south across Route 6, towards the Hawkeye soccer complex, north on Mormon Trek Blvd, then east over the Iowa River Power Pedestrian Bridge, and into Iowa city. The path then heads north from the Peninsula development to the water treatment plan, and north on Dubuque Street. It crosses Coralville, Iowa City, and North Liberty with the intention of an “all trail” route to promote the excellent bike path route in our community. As of now, the 50 and 100 mile routes do not utilize roads or trails in Iowa City and I have contacted Coralville and Johnson County where applicable. 20 mile route: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/65252130 Steve Hamilton, MBA Health Care Information Systems UI Health Care 356-2501 Notice: This UI Health Care e-mail (including attachments) is covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, 18 U.S.C. 2510-2521, is confidential and may be legally privileged.
