The goal of the Citizens Police Academy is to promote a better relationship between law enforcement and the community it se rves through education and hands-on learning. The Citizens Police Academy will meet once a week for ten weeks for classroom and hands-on instruction. Additionally, each student will also have the opportunity to ride along with a patrol officer as they perform their duties. The ten weeks will consist of a graduation ceremony. The instructors are comprised of law enforcement officers and outside guest instructors that work on a daily basis in their area of instruction.
