Consent Calendar - Setting Public Hearings 7.a Resolution setting a public hearing on November 4, 2024 on project manual and estimate of cost for the construction of the Bradford Drive Water Main Replacement Project, directing City Clerk to publish notice of said hearing, and directing the City Engineer to place said project manual on file for public inspection. 7.b Resolution setting a public hearing on November 4, 2024 on project manual and estimate of cost for the construction of the Fire Station 1 and City Hall 3rd Floor Renovation Project, directing City Clerk to publish notice of said hearing, and directing the City Engineer to place said project manual on file for public inspection. Planning & Zoning Matters 9.a Ordinance amending Title 14, Zoning Code, to allow redemption centers in commercial and industrial zones. (REZ24-0007) Development Services Coordinator Sitzman presented a PowerPoint. City Attorney Goers provided additional information. The following individual appeared: Troy Willard representing the Can Shed. Individual Council members asked questions and expressed their views. Motion to give first consideration. Moved by Andrew Dunn, seconded by Shawn Harmsen. Motion Passed. (7 Ayes) 9.b Ordinance amending Title 14, entitled "Zoning Code", to address tobacco sales oriented retail uses. (REZ24-0006) (First Consideration) City Attorney Goers presented information. The following individuals appeared: Bodha Gautam and Dipesh Gautam. Individual Council members asked questions and expressed their views. Motion to give first consideration. Moved by Andrew Dunn, seconded by Mazahir Salih. Motion No Vote Taken. (0 Ayes) Motion to reconsider motion to amend from October 1, 2024 meeting . Moved by Megan Alter, seconded by Shawn Harmsen. Motion Passed. (5 Ayes) Salih and Teague voting no.
