Wage: $15.50 per hour
Variable hours up to 25 hours per week
Schedule negotiable between 7:00am – 3:30pm
Start & end dates are negotiable
Positions anticipated to be filled approximately April through October*

Job summary:
Under immediate supervision, performs a variety of unskilled manual labor tasks and general street
maintenance. May operate tools such as a tamper, asphalt rake and shovel. Loads and unloads materials
and equipment. May assist in cement and asphalt patching and crack sealing. Cleans equipment, building
and grounds. Operates light motorized equipment as necessary. May assist with the installation of street
signage or pavement markings. May assist with debris removal from culverts and bridges. May assist
with raking and operation of leaf vacuum equipment for removal of leaves for curbside pickup.
Conducts self in a manner which promotes and supports diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and
community. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum qualifications:
Requires the knowledge of and ability to use common hand and power tools, familiarity with common
construction materials and equipment, the ability to follow oral and written instructions, manual
dexterity, mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform heavy outside work. Valid Iowa Class B
commercial driver's license with airbrakes endorsement with satisfactory driving record required at
time of hire. Must maintain a valid CDL as a condition for continued employment. This position is subject
to federal drug testing requirements including screening through the FMCSA Clearinghouse. A pre-
employment drug screen is required. Must be 18 years of age.
