Wage: $24.44 - $31.45 per hour Schedule: Monday -Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Includes occasional evening, weekend, and special event work. Job summary: Under general direction receives library materials and handles return of defective materials. Determines withdrawal and replacement of worn and damaged materials and expired digital content. Works on the Help Desk. Performs work related to the circulation of library materials, including issuing borrower cards. Assists people booking meeting rooms and provides reader's advisory service. Minimum Qualifications: High school education or G.E.D. and seven to twelve months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in public library setting, customer service, or clerical work. Must pass criminal background check. Other duties may be required and assigned. * Receives library materials using automated system, returns defective or incorrectly shipped materials, and approves invoices for payment. * Creates lists of high and low circulation items. Evaluates worn and damaged materials and expired digital licenses, and determines replacement based on standard criteria. Searches vendor database and submits orders. • Creates new item records in library database. Corrects entry errors and changes status in existing item records.
