Permanent full-time position available
Wage: $71,864.00 – $90,438.40 (starting wage contingent upon experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job summary:
Under direction, designs and administers Public Works projects. Provides advanced technical
engineering problem solving and design work. Writes specifications and contracts and serves as project
leader on a wide variety of infrastructure projects.
Minimum Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution and one year of related experience; or five
years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Civil
Engineering. Must successfully pass 8-hour Fundamentals of Engineering exam within six months of hire.
Valid State of Iowa driver's license with satisfactory driving record. National Incident Management
System Training ICS 100, IS 700 within two years of hire. Must be 18 years of age. Must pass criminal
background check.
Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution and two years of related experience; or six
years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in
civil engineering.
