Re: Police Citizen Review Board
Dear Ms. ICarr:
I have served on the Police Citizen Review Board since September 1, 2008. During that
tinge, I have been proud to serve with the board members, staff and legal counsel and to
wonc~ with officers of the Iowa City Police Department and Iowa City community
members. I cannot speak highly enough of these people. I believe that the work the
PCRB does is important for both the Iowa City community and the Iowa City Police
Department. I feel privileged to have been a parr of that.
It is with some sadness, then, that I find I must submit my resignation from the FC1ZB,
effectively immediately. I am resigning in order to avoid any potential conflict of interest
or even any appearance of impropriety.
I ask that you please distribute tlis letter to Donald Icing, chair of the Police Citizen
Review Board, to Kellie Tuttle and to the members of the City Council, along with my
profotuld thanks for this opportunity to have been of service.
~incere]v_
