construction drawings by the City Attorney and City Engineer. It is anticipated that legal
papers and construction drawings will be approved prior to the March 12th City Council

Resolution setting a public hearing on April 23, 2019 on project
manual and estimate of cost for the construction of the City Park
Adventure Playground Project, directing City Clerk to publish notice
of said hearing, and directing the City Engineer to place said
project manual on file for public inspection.
Comment:This project includes installation of an adventure play area in City Park.The
estimated project cost is$400,000 and will be funded by account#R4356.

9- Xq Resolution of intent to consider the vacation and proposed
conveyance of that portion of Hutchinson Avenue right-of-way
north of Park Road in Black's Park Addition Subdivision to Bryan
Svoboda and setting a public hearing thereon for April 23, 2019.
Comment The portion of Hutchinson Ave north of Park Road was dedicated to the City
decades ago,but has never been developed for public purposes due to topographic

Comment: Electric assist bicycles are gaining in popularity and staff is negotiating with a
company to provide them in Iowa City this spring.This ordinance provides that electric assist

Comment Since at least the early 1970s City Code has prohibited dancing in establishments
with a liquor license without a city-issued dancing permit.Staffs understanding is that it was
originally intended to address concerns about overcrowding in liquor establishments and
