Hi Wendy,
How are you doing? Are you staying healthy mentally and physically? LOL
Before we make any news public, we wanted you to be the first to know that we arereworking our festival season to ensure the health, safety and well being of our community.This is our top priority, and we will continue to follow all City of Iowa City and State of IowaPublic Health guidelines.
Summer of the Arts is doing its part to flatten the curve by unfortunately cancelling some ofour beloved programming. We are sad to be making these announcements!
Here is the change so far in light of COVID-19: * We are cancelling the Iowa Arts Festival. As our largest event usually kicks offsummertime in Iowa City, we would be remiss to hold our events. This is a very difficult taks,but we are finding ways to overcome this.
We are currently unsure with regards to Iowa City Jazz Festival and will make a decisionaround the middle of May. You will be notified either way.
This is a sad decision for our staff, board and sponsors, but we feel it's the most appropriateone for the community and everyone's well being.
