Electronic Meeting (Pursuant to Iowa Code section 21.8)
An electronic meeting was held because a meeting in person was impossible or impractical due
to concerns for the health and safety of council members, staff and the public presented by
COVID-19.
Clarification of Agenda items
• [9.a] Rezoning —Hickory Trail Estates ... Councilor Thomas asked staff for the development value
of the senior living component. Fruin stated staff would come up with an estimate.

1. (1131, Council Tentative Meeting Schedule) Councilor Weiner asked for the timeline to
transition back to in-person meetings and if there would be a reduced summer schedule
for Council meetings. City Manager Fruin provided information. Individual Council
members expressed their views.
Action: The City Council will transition back to in-person meetings beginning with the
July 61 meeting. The meeting will take place in the Assembly Room at The Center.
Staff will evaluate a modified summer meeting schedule with the Mayor and Mayor Pro
Tem.
