Greets the public, responds to ques�ons, offers appropriate assistance and performs other clerical du�es. Essen�al Job Du�es and Responsibili�es The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. • Provides customer service and staff support for rou�ne tasks including financial transac�ons, informa�on referrals and copying requests for public and staff. • Processes Senior Center memberships, parking permits and parking �cket sales; collects fees and dona�ons; issues receipts, issues membership cards, enrolls par�cipants in classes and assists with locker rentals. • Makes appointments for legal counseling, Senior Health Informa�on Program and tax prepara�on services. • Assists with marke�ng materials and mailing distribu�on. • Helps stock, track and maintain inventories of opera�onal supplies. • Helps track, tally, record and prepare reports on Senior Center par�cipa�on. • Assists public with the copy machine and does copying for staff. • Sorts and delivers incoming mail. • Conducts self in a manner which promotes and supports diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and community. • Performs other du�es as assigned. Minimum Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other • High school educa�on or G.E.D. or pursuit of degree and one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combina�on of educa�on and experience. Experience in customer service. • Must pass criminal background check. Experience with computer systems. • Cer�fica�on in CPR and the use of an external automated defibrillator. Knowledge, Skills, and Abili�es • Ability to add, subtract, mul�ply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common frac�ons, and decimals. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved writen or oral instruc�ons. • Ability to compute rate, ra�o, and percent. • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situa�ons. • Ability to effec�vely present informa�on in one-on-one and small group situa�ons to customers, clients, and other employees of the organiza�on. • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruc�ons, short correspondence, and memos. • Ability to reliably and predictably carry out du�es. • Ability to write simple correspondence. • Knowledge of basic office equipment, filing and sor�ng techniques. • Skill in using computers and applicable so�ware applica�ons (Microso� Office – Word, Excel, Outlook).
