Karr: Nominations are now open. Champion: I'd like to nominate Matt Hayek for Mayor. Karr: Moved by Champion. Wilburn: Second. Karr: Seconded by Wilburn to nominate Matt Hayek as Mayor. Are there any other nominations? Second request, other nominations? Third and final request, other nominations? Motion to close nominations. Wright: So moved. Karr: Moved by Wright. Champion: Second. (City Clerk administers oath to Mayor Hayek and Mayor Pro tem Wilburn) Hayek: Okay. I want to, uh, thank, uh, Regenia for two years of... of leadership and service, um, these have been challenging years for the City, and we have provided capable leadership during that time. I want to thank the entire Council for placing your confidence in me, and I will do my best over the two years to come to serve this Council and the community. At this time I'd entertain a motion to adjourn. Wilburn: (mumbled) Hayek: Oh, I'm sorry! Wilburn: That's all right. I just want to thank, uh, Regenia, Mayor Bailey, for her service to the City and look forward to working with, uh, you and the Council as Mayor Pro Tem. Hayek: Great! Champion: We all think that Regenia's done a great job! Thank you very much! Wright: Probably some of the most challenging times anybody's faced in decades! Incredible!
